Upper Westside Protected Bays

Napili, Kapalua, Honolua
  • Still a Northwest swell rolling in. Be careful with waves.
  • Surf 6-8ft in Honolua Bay
  • Conditions may vary amongst the different bays but should be relatively consistent.
  • Isolated showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with an east wind 18 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Ka'anapali Beach

Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach
  • Black Rock is going to be more protected from the swell.
  • No crowds have the beach to yourself.
  • Surf 2-3ft but watch for larger waves.
  • Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • E wind around 6 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the afternoon. Sunny. . Waves 1 ft or less.

  • Breezy but this area is the most protected area on the west side of the island.
  • Easy parking, no crowds, don’t get your car stuck in the sand.
  • Small surf 1-2ft.
  • Turtles! They are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming WSW 5 to 7 kt. Sunny. . Waves 1 ft or less.
