Upper Westside Protected Bays

Napili, Kapalua, Honolua
  • Small surf, strong winds, Honolua bay should offer good shelter with good water clarity. The north ends of the bays should also offer some shelter from the winds. Honolua Bay will be the most sheltered area.

  • Surf 1-3 ft.
  • Conditions may vary amongst the different bays.
  • Isolated showers before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Windy, with an east wind 22 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach
  • Small surf, blustery winds. Inside black rock should be calm and sheltered. Stay close to shore.
  • Check out the Sheraton & Whaler Condo webcam.
  • Surf 1-3ft.
  • Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • ENE wind 20 to 25 kt decreasing to 8 to 13 kt in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 kt. Sunny. . Waves 1 ft or less.

Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach
  • Small surf, watch for strong winds. Water clarity should be good.
  • Don’t get your car stuck in the sand and be sure to park completely off the highway!
  • Surf 1-2ft.
  • Turtles! They are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • Isolated showers before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Breezy, with a light and variable wind becoming east northeast 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
