Upper Westside Protected Bays

Napili, Kapalua, Honolua
  • Light winds this morning. Swell has picked up. Watch for waves. If in doubt go south to snorkel.
  • Surf 5-10 around the North side.
  • Conditions may vary amongst the different bays but should be relatively consistent.
  • Scattered showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Ka'anapali Beach

Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach
  • Swell has picked up. Light winds make for a nice time on the beach. If you go out stay away from the shoreline. Go south for calmer conditions.
  • Christmas break but the crowds are still small.
  • Surf 2-4ft
  • Turtles as usual. Don't forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • Scattered showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a northeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

  • Calm conditions.
  • Easy parking, no crowds, don't get your car stuck in the sand.
  • Small surf 1-3ft.
  • Turtles! They are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • Isolated showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
