Upper Westside Protected Bays

Napili, Kapalua, Honolua
  • Overall Conditions: Light winds. Surf has picked up a bit still remains relatively small. Looks like a very nice day on the upper west side.
  • Webcams: Napili Kai
  • Surf: 2-3ft.
  • Weather:
    Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Breezy, with an east wind 16 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

    Notes: Conditions amongst the bays can vary significantly.

  • Surf: 2-3ft.
  • Weather:
    Sunny, with a high near 87. East northeast wind 7 to 11 mph.

    Notes: Rocky shore sheltered bay. Conditions amongst the bays can vary significantly.

  • Overall Conditions: VeryLight winds. South swell is still pumping and wrapping around  a bit to creating moderate surf and surge. Watch for surge along the rocks.

  • Surf: 2-3ft.
  • Weather:
    Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
  • Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

  • Overall Conditions: No wind. South swell is still present although it has dissipated a bit.
  • Weather: Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
  • Surf: 2-4ft
  • Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand.
