Keauhou Beach Park Rating by Boss Frog's
Summary 8.5/10
Keauhou Beach Park provides a small grassy area for entertaining with restrooms, outdoor showers, a picnic table, and a grill. You can play in two types of sand here. There is a little black sand beach at the water's edge, and white sand volleyball courts up the hill a bit! You can also rent kayaks nearby, but Keauhou Beach Park is not a Kona snorkeling or swimming spot. A boat ramp leading into the turquoise water launches tour boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and outrigger canoes. One can also fish from the pier, and all this traffic makes the water unsafe for swimmers. Palm trees, hibiscus plants, and kiawe dot the park. You will also see the canoe house for the Keauhou Canoe Club (as well as their canoes - if they're not out paddling, of course!).
