Salt Pond Beach Park

Beach Location: Just past the Kauai Veterans Cemetery at 4331 Lele Road, Hanapepe, HI 96716
Amenities: Restrooms, outdoor showers, BBQ grills, drinking fountains, outdoor sink, water spigot, shaded picnic tables, and trash and recycle bins.
Time to snorkel: Year round, but best in winter

Directions & Parking: From Lihue, go west on Highway 50 (Kaumualii Highway). In 17 miles, turn left onto Lele Road. Drive past the cemetery, and turn right onto Lokokai Road. Drive half a mile through a grove of kiawe trees, and pass the salt pond to reach Salt Pond Beach Park. The road ends here. There is parking on either side of the road, and the beach is just across the lawn! The best snorkeling is in the left hand cove.
