  • Overall Conditions: Light to moderate winds as the day progresses.  Very small surf. Looks like a very nice day out there.

  • Weather:
    E wind around 17 kt. Scattered showers. Mixed swell…WSW 2 ft at 13 seconds and NNW 2 ft at 10 seconds…becoming N 0 ft at 0 seconds . Waves around 4 ft.

  • Overall Conditions: Light winds and small surf are a great combo for snorkeling at the bay.
  • Surf: 1-2ft.
  • Weather:

  • Overall Conditions: Similar to yesterday, light to moderate winds as the day progresses. South swell is starting to dissipate causing less disturbance. Looks like a nice day.
  • Webcam: Whaler Condo. Sheraton.
  • Surf: 1-2ft.
  • Weather:
    NE wind 10 to 19 kt. Isolated showers after noon. N swell 0 ft at 0 seconds. Waves 1 ft or less.
  • Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach
  • Overall Conditions: Light winds. South swell is still present although it has dissipated a bit. I would skip this spot unless you really really want to go here. It should be much better in a few days.
  • Weather: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming ENE 11 to 16 kt in the afternoon. Isolated showers after noon. N swell 0 ft at 0 seconds. Waves 1 ft or less.
  • Surf: 2-4ft
  • Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand.

  • Overall Conditions: The south swell has dissipated a bit however it is still present. It is predicted to significantly decrease over the next several days. The beach locations are most likely still stirred up. Ahihi Kinau might be doable but its a bit of a rugged spot so if in doubt don’t go out. Head to West Maui for way better conditions.

  • Surf: 2-4ft.
  • Weather: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming NNE 8 to 13 kt in the afternoon. Mostly sunny. N swell 0 ft at 0 seconds. Waves 1 ft or less.
  • Notes: Winds may fill in later, always best to get out early.
