6Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: The north swell has dissipated a bit. There is still some residual surge and small waves. Water clarity may be decreased a bit. Watch for surge along the rocks.
- Surf: 1-3ft.
- Weather: Isolated showers before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Breezy, with an east wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.
