3Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Calm winds. Large surf from this continuing north swell. Watch for surge and decreased water clarity.
- Surf: 2-3 ft.
- Weather: Similar to North Bays
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

7Olowalu Mile Marker 14
Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach- Overall Conditions: Similar to the past few days. Small surf. Calm winds. Water visibility may be decreased due to small wave action.
- Weather: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming WSW 5 to 9 kt in the afternoon. Widespread haze.
- Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand. There is a sand channel that goes through the reef across the highway from the Mile Marker 14 post that is the easiest place to swim out.
