7Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Surf and wind are both low today. Runoff from the rainfall will cause Honolua to be less clear.
- Surf: 1-2ft.
- Weather: Scattered showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

9Olowalu Mile Marker 14
Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach- Overall Conditions: Looks calm at Mile Marker 14 but the surrounding area’s surf will cause lower visibility.
- Weather: Isolated showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand. There is a sand channel that goes through the reef across the highway from the Mile Marker 14 post that is the easiest place to swim out.
