8Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Looks really nice at the bay this morning. Honolua is more protected in the afternoon when the winds pick up.
- Surf: 1-2ft.
- Weather: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Breezy, with an east wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach- Overall Conditions: Will be very hot out there with the low winds. Make sure to bring plenty of water.
- Weather: Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming north northeast 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
- Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand. There is a sand channel that goes through the reef across the highway from the Mile Marker 14 post that is the easiest place to swim out.
