Upper Westside Protected Bays

Napili, Kapalua, Honolua
  • Calm winds. Napili Bay has increased wave action over yesterday. I checked the surf at Honolua this morning and it’s pumping pretty good. The water is calm inside the bay. Watch for decreased water clarity.
  • Check out this webcam from Napili Sunset.
  • Surf 3-4ft.
  • Conditions may vary amongst the different bays.
  • Isolated showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 15 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach
  • Light winds. North swell is still active. Shoreline around Black Rock looks relatively calm but there is some shore break. Watch for surge around the rocks.

  • Surf 2-3ft.
  • Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • ENE wind 7 to 14 kt. Mostly sunny. . Waves 1 ft or less.

Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach
  • South swell as affecting this spot yesterday and the swell is still active. Decreased water clarity.
  • Don’t get your car stuck in the sand and be sure to park completely off the highway!
  • Surf 1-3ft.
  • Turtles! They are protected so give them space but enjoy.
  • Isolated showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Light east northeast wind increasing to 9 to 14 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
