2Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Calm winds. Moderate surf. Watch for shore break and surge along the rocks. Inside the bay might be doable however, head to Kaanapali for better conditions.
- Surf: 3-4 ft.
- Weather: Similar to North Bays.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

3Ka'anapali Beach
Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach- Overall Conditions: Calm winds. Small surf. Looking like the best spot on the westside for sure. North swell is not hitting here like it is at the north bays. Watch for surge along the rocks.
- Webcam: Whaler condo. Sheraton
- Surf: 2-3 ft.
- Weather: EENE wind 5 to 7 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt. Mostly sunny.
- Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

7Olowalu Mile Marker 14
Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach- Overall Conditions: Calm winds. Surf is up on the southside which means it is most likely a little stirred up here as well.
- Weather: NNE wind 5 to 13 kt. Sunny.
- Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand. There is a sand channel that goes through the reef across the highway from the Mile Marker 14 post that is the easiest place to swim out.
