3Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Large surf. Calm winds. Go south for better conditions.
- Surf: 2-3 ft.
- Weather: Similar to north bays.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

3Ka'anapali Beach
Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach- Overall Conditions: Calm winds. Small surf. Looks like the best spot in West Maui today.
- Webcam: Whaler Condos Sheraton
- Surf: 1-2 ft.
- Weather: NE wind 14 to 16 kt. Sunny.
- Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

- Weather: Sunny, with a high near 79. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
