6Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Similar to the north bays. Calm winds. Some waves may still be coming in but they will be smaller than the past week. Water clarity may be less than optimal but it will be better than the past few days.
- Surf: 2-3 ft.
- Weather: Similar to North Bays
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

- Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

- Weather: N wind 7 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 22 kt. Sunny.
