8Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Calm winds and low surf this morning. Some waves may come in later today.
- Surf: 2-3 ft.
- Weather: Similar to Upper West Bays.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.

8Ka'anapali Beach
Sheraton Black Rock, Airport-Kahekili Beach- Overall Conditions: Calm wind and lower surf. The south side of Black Rock looks really nice today.
- Webcam: Whaler Condos Sheraton
- Surf: 1-3 ft.
- Weather: Widespread haze. Sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind.
- Notes: Don’t snorkel directly under Black Rock, you don’t want to get jumped on. Turtles as usual. Don’t forget they are protected so give them space but enjoy. If you venture around Black Rock stay close to shore. Watch for surge along the rocks.

Black Rock, Kahekili-Airport Beach- Overall Conditions: Calmer winds and southern swell is dropping. Visibility is improving in this area.
- Weather: Sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph.
- Notes: Give the turtles some space and don’t get your car stuck in the sand. There is a sand channel that goes through the reef across the highway from the Mile Marker 14 post that is the easiest place to swim out.
