7Honolua Bay
Honolua Map- Overall Conditions: Similar to the upper Bays with strong winds and some rain due to the tropical storm. Inside the bay should be calm as the surf is small. Snorkeling should be pretty decent once you get in the water.
- Surf: 1-2ft.
- Weather: Scattered showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Windy, with an east northeast wind 23 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
-
Notes: Rocky shoreline sheltered bay. Use the Honolua Lookout before the bay to check conditions. The water should be blue and you should be able to see the reef. If the water looks “milky” or green the snorkeling will not be good. If there are surfers on the north side of the bay the snorkeling conditions are probably poor or even dangerous. If it has been raining the river empties brown, muddy water into the bay and you should definitely stay out of the water.
